Hello. I want to permanently disable Avast Firewall. I have selected the 'Disable Permanently' option (as opposed to the 'Disable Until next Reboot' option). However, after a reboot, the Avast Firewall is enabled again. Most annoying.
How can I stop this please?
I am running Avast Premier 2014.9.2008 on a Windows 7 64bit machine with 6GB of DDR3 RAM and an Intel Core i7 920 CPU.

You could try uninstalling the firewall function.
From the Control Panel > Programs and Features, find avast and select avast Antivirus Now click the Uninstall/Change Button (or right click on the entry). From the new window, select the Change Option, you will see the various avast elements/shields that are installed. Uncheck the Firewall option and OK/Confirm your way out. You will probably be asked to reboot, if you aren't I would suggest that you do.
You can obviously reverse this process if in future you want to install the firewall element.

Thank you very much. That did the trick.
