Title: Can I restore via USB/wi-fi?
Post by: chrisyoung on November 15, 2013, 10:00:27 PM
I have just done a factory reset to try and make my Motorola more reliable. My phone network is via a client. How do I get my phone to restore itself? If you are only sending commands via the phone network, it won't work until the client software is restored. Do I have to reinstall this software manually? If so, this is a bit of a pain.

Well, it's not a problem with the network access. My phone is now making calls okay.

But the restore command keeps timing out.

I have tried reinstalling Avast Mobile backup software, but it won't let me sign in because that email is already in use. Of course it is! That's why I want to log in with it!

You really do need some basic instructions on how to use this software!!!

It might have been a problem with the APN settings being wiped. I have reinstated these and have Internet access. Now Avast appears to be experiencing "internal server error". Not happy. :(
