Post by: midnight on November 19, 2013, 03:14:32 PM
even have avast online security in IE11?  I'm still using Avast 8 1497.

IE11 was installed with the Windows updates I received on Nov. 12.

Never mind......I'm going back to IE10.

Avast online security has nothing to do with what version of IE you are using, if you go back to IE 10 you'll still have the online security plugin.

Do you have an issue with the plugin itself ?

Because version 8 also uses the plugin.

I never saw it when I was using IE10.  I used to have ad block and it showed at the bottom of the screen on IE10 but it'isn't showining that now.

No, I don't have an issue with the plugin itself but I'm wondering about what it actually does.

Well the plugin has been there for quite a while now so I guess you just weren't observant enough, the online protection is what gives you the phishing protection and also gives the site reputation ticks ( green ticks ) next to your searches.

Adblock had to be installed separately through the UI settings but as it has now been discontinued I wouldn't bother with it.
