Title: Installation Question
Post by: Dave50 on October 08, 2003, 04:54:08 PM
Hi everyone!

I noticed with installing Avast! that there's a choice of a typical install or a custom install.  I've always done the typical install.  But, if choosing custom, is it possible to install Avast! without some of the providers or will all 5 of them always be included?  I don't need the instant messaging or Outlook providers (I have them terminated right now).

Thanks,

Dave

The latest version (4.1.278 and later) does let you select which providers to install and which not.

Also, you can change this any time you want via the Control Panel Add/Remove Program applet.
