Title: Changing your Forum Profile & adding a pic?

Hi Again,

Sorry for another post, but this should be the last for ages. :) I had difficulty when first joining the Forum. When I went to log-in, my full e-mail address and password were pre-entered for me, I hit "log-in" BUT I couldn't get in. :( I contacted avast Support but was told the Forum is not a part of avast and they couldn't help me. I finally, for a "Username," tried "mwsoft," the left part of our company e-mail, and it WORKED. :)

So, needless to say, I'm a bit "shy" about going to the Profile page to change my Username from "mwsoft" to my own name. I may not be able to log-in. Yoiks! Also, I would like to add a PIC on the Forum. So, is it SAFE to type in a new "Username" in the Profile section, and HOW, since I see nothing referring to it, HOW do I up-load a PIC?  :)

Thank you guys & gals!

Unfortunately there are areas of the Profile settings you can't access until you have 20 posts (no longer a newbie category). This is one of a number of anti-spam measures on the forums, with legit users also suffering as a result of spammers.

Adding an avatar is one thing you can't do or add a signature.

I obviously can't check (having more than 20 posts), but I think you should be able to change your user name/name and email address in the Profile > Account Settings ?
