Title: How Can I Get Rid of This?
Post by: Murphy83 on June 07, 2005, 04:28:46 PM
Avast popped up with an alert-- Win32:Trojano-1270 [Trj]

I hit the abort connection button but I dont know what that did.
what do I need to do to get rid of it?

thanks for any help.

You don't have to do anything - if you clicked on "Abort connection", avast! prevented the trojan from being downloaded to your computer, so you are safe.

igor, it think it's time to remove "Virus has been detected on your computer" sound.
It confuses people.

I couldn't agree more, I have made this comment before that this warning (and audio file) needs to be changed, it is confusing to the user (not to mention incorrect) as many have posted the same thing in the forums after the Web Shield alert.

I also believe the Heuristic alert in Internet Mail should also be different from a virus alert detected using VPS.

People are also confuse with the "Abort Connection" button cause they thought it means that they have to disconnect from the internet.  :-\
