"Report the file as a false positive" of WebShield does not work in case that the file is included in an installer, a SFX file or an archive file.
The problem of 2014.9.0.2008 which I reported on November 23rd ( http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=140711.0 ) continues in 2014.9.0.2009.

Unfortunately that was a problem in the .2008 version that still hasn't been resolved in this beta. I ended up doing manual submissions from the http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles (http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles) Report false virus alert on website and just copy and paste the actual URL of the website and file name.
I think the problem is that, the URL is validated against the alert URL and when that has additional characters after the URL like the |> and all characters after that aren't legit URL characters so fail this validation.
Unfortunately they don't strip out everything after (and including) the |> so that the URL is valid. Or allow the URL being submitted to be edited removing the |> and everything after it.

This problem still exists in Avast 2014.9.0.2010.
I tested it at EICAR site http://www.eicar.org/download/eicar_com.zip .
