Title: Win32:Trojan-gen. {VC}
Post by: ronnym789 on June 10, 2005, 06:58:58 PM
The virus is in the folder C:/WINDOWS/exul.exe

Its a trojan of some sort.. I'm at a friends house trying to fix it and the program is in Korean. I dont understand how to run different commands but I tried deleting it and it won't go away. Please help me remove this thing. I have a feeling that the trojan runs scripts to install malware/spyware onto this very computer.

Thanks for the help,
Ron

PS - This computer is running on the OS of Windows XP Home Edition

Because of the location (the windows folder) and it is probably active, in use, windows protects it.

The best option is to schedule boot-time scan in avast's menu (or try the 'Schedule Boot-Time Scan' using RejZoR's AEC avast! External Control Tool (http://www.excessive-software.eu.tt/)
