Anyone know what happened to the audio packs that used to be at http://www.avast.com/audio?
-
You mean GUI>Settings>Appearance>Install additional languages?
-
No not that. I mean the audio packs that would change the voice of the announcer. There was a page that had a bunch of different voices. Even had a santa.
-
OK, those are not available now as far as I know but you can still pick up "Pirate Talk" from the language packs in the GUI. Maybe they will add more there in the future but atm I am sure it is not a major consideration. .)

Changing the audio was a nice feature. Some people prefer a different accent or sex. I would certainly hope Avast didn't get rid of that ability entirely.
-
Agreed and the "American lady" could do with a change. ;) Fortunately I have my audio through earphones and only wear them when I need to listen to something so I mostly don't get to hear her.
-
I would prefer a nice british accent myself. I'm not british, but I do like the lingual notes better.
-
Then you may be happy to hear then the next update will include a UK English pack (program UI plus voiceovers).
As for the audio packs, I believe they were moved somewhere to avast! Facebook... not sure though.
-
That is good to hear. I'll check the facebook page also, thanks!
