The Avast scanner on VT detects it,see: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/2c7b1986d582186bd3dce98f55ff41d5d5160684040c137180cfb0687cd36901/analysis/1386864812/
But my avast doesnt detect it yet!? what on with that? I am sure they are supposed to detect these well known trojans? but I am confused with this one!
Sent the file to Avast Labs!

I have some of these things here too.
Avast 8 detects more files from virussign then Avast 2014.
Virustotal uses Avast 8 i think.
Im currently running Kaspersky IS 2014 Trial to test it out.

As a side note;
If I'm not mistaken, VT uses the most aggresive settings Avast! has.
-
I have maxed out my settings here as well.
But they changed their database and the Scan Engine, so maybe thats why.

Hi True Indian and Steven Winderlich,
You have to give room to avast! shields detection with a much more prominent role to play since the 2014 version.
I have found that the avast! Web Shield for instance now also flags mal-defacements.
So when the avast shields were being "phased in" the detection patterns for avast may differ.
So there could be room for a discrepancy as I do not know if VT results also will include the avast! shields detection results?

They dont contain them polonus.
Also they erased DOS-viruses out of the database.

Hi Steven Winderlich,
There was an ongoing problem where Hupigon detection is concerned, just look up the 44 instances when that topic came up on these forums.

Pol,in any case if that is true its great but we shouldnt be missing these things if avast wants to keep up as a good AV program. :)
