Title: Avast saved me from virus several times
Post by: wile_e on June 13, 2005, 10:35:16 PM
Jak Se Mas? (How are you?) Here in Texas we have some small town Czech communities and I am Czech-American.

I bought Avast a couple months ago. It already saved me from virus/trojans several times. I previously used Norton, but it would slow my computer down, and my hard drive was always constantly making file access noise. Avast looks like it detects things that NAV does not. I've noticed that even some legit websites can have a trojan/virus. There was a University website that had a worm on it's front page. Avast blocked it. There was another website that had a trojan on it that Avast blocked. I didn't even start downloading the file, yet Avast knew that one of the links had a virus/trojan. With Norton, it would never detect such trojans until you downloaded the complete file. Avast always has continous updates that are small. Norton always had to download large updates.

Congrats to Avast and keep up the good work.
