Title: Licence key invalid
Post by: hvisser on June 15, 2005, 02:26:55 PM
I installed the server version in DEMO mode 3 months ago, now I have added a valid licence fro 3 years. When I try to update I get the following message:

"The license key for this product is invalid or has expired.
License is valid until: Wednesday,  June 25,  2008
Current Date: Wednesday, June 15, 2005.
- your system date/time is not set correctly; fix it and enter the license key again
- your updating licence has expired; register it again and enter the new license key

The system date time is set hourly to an NTP server, and is definitely not wrong.
The license could not have expired, when I look at the license details it says it's valid until June 2008.

Please help!!!

When you copy/paste the key, make sure there is no trailing space.
Also make sure that you have the correct key for your Avast version.

No, I have a license.dat file that I got from Avast. I import that file and it has all my details, etc.

Never mind, I installed the smtp and exchange plugins when I installed the demo, and that was causing it to fail. uninstalled and reinstalled (without them selected) and now it's working fine.
