I asked for a credit and a cancellation and Avast will not respond

Well if you supplied as much information as what you have given us here then there isn't much to respond to.

Where have you tried ?

Have you tried the on-line contact form, http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles (http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles) for:  * Sales inquiries; or Orders if it has that heading.
