Title: Avast safezone question - saved passwords
Post by: oneslotfencing on December 28, 2013, 03:55:33 PM
Hi,

I have just upgraded to make use of safezone for all online activity requiring a password, I have searched the forum and net but have not found an answer to this particular question:

When prompted by the avast modified chromium browser (Within safezone) to remember login details and save passwords etc. . . . .

The login details and passwords are encrypted where they are saved right?

It seems such an obvious and necessary thing that I feel there should be no need to ask, however I have searched for an answer and it has come to this post.

I used firefox with a master password to protect all my login details before upgrading to use safezone and just need to make sure of the facts before I put this new environment to good use.

Thank you for your time posting an answer.

an addition to my question should clarify things further:

Are the safezone browser passwords saved and encrypted within the safezone environment

or

Are the safezone browser passwords saved outside of the safezone environment and encrypted using the user windows password with the same levels of security as google chrome.

or

I am completely misguided, someone please enlighten me.
