Dont understand the question?

If you need to reinstall it does not matter what mode you are running in.....

If you're talking about the 30 day trial of a paid version,
then the answer is no just activate the license you have purchased.
If you're using a trial of a paid version and want to revert back to the free version,
then I would suggest uninstalling the trial and doing a fresh install of the free version.

I uninstalled my paid version because the firewall would not turn on. I had my licence resent, and after much confusion about reinstalling my paid version I downloaded ''the 30 day trial mode'' so I would have some security. Then after much ado I thought I had worked out how to reinstall my paid version and followed the procedure....but the my internet security status still shows...''in trial mode''.....29 days left..

what do I do now..

I just tried to repair my programme, that was the first thing I was told to do but that took me awhile to work out how to do that. I followed the procedure for that and the window says my programme is successfully updated.....but still it says ''in trial mode''.........

You still need to enter the license for avast from what it sounds like to me. If you no longer have the license file saved on your computer you can resend it using the email you purchased it with at  http://www.avast.com/en-us/resend-license-paid.php .

I just had my licence file resent, again. I have avast in my programmes/on my computer.
The email says the '' license file is attached to this email''...'' save the license file to a
secure folder on your hard drive''....Where do I find the file in the email and how do save it..?

Then the email says....''If you did not receive the attachment, please make sure that your e-mail client and
Internet provider allows you to receive attachments''.......I don't know where to find it so I don't know if I have received it..?? And...I thought I was receiving attachments in my bigpond email because I receive them for my work....

How do I make sure that my e-mail client and Internet provider allows me to receive attachments.......?

edit.....

I just did a ''pro antivirus set up'' it says my ''installation is now complete''....''restart your computer''...

Ok, lets see what happens now......

Edit......

I am still in trial mode.....

I see in my computer when I received licence file 2 years ago, of course that has expired, but there is not any licence file with todays date...

Edit......

I found the licence dated 18/1/14....but it is now invalid or banned....?

Edit.....

So I just set up the programme dated 18/1/14 and it accepted the licence form this same date.....
it now says ''installation is now complete''....does this mean I am protected..?

Sorry for the long post, I am finding this very confusing.

Edit...

I can't believe how confusing this, why don't avast give support, they won't answer my emails..?

My computer is still in trial mode....I paid for 2 years security..

Yay, Eureka! Finally!

It wasn't me or my computer...I was not receiving  a ''valid licence file''.......

I am no longer in ''trial mode''.......now I am in....''Everything is good''...mode.
