Title: New Avast! SecureLine app is available
Post by: Rednose on January 28, 2014, 03:51:54 PM
You can download the new Avast! SecureLine app from the App Store, but compared to the old app there is :

- No option for Virus Protection.
- No option for Typo correction.
- No option for Anti-Phishing.
- No option for Ad Blocker.

Only the option for Data Compression is available.

So the first impression is a little bit disappointing. I don't know why this is, and what the roadmap for the app is, but I will try to get some answers from Avast!

Ok, it seems that there is something going on I was not aware off. And I guess I am not allowed to talk about it ( now ) ;)

Hi Rednose,

your the only who writes about "breaking" news.
Please do not misunderstand, I appreciate your information very much.

I`ve looked for the new app and its how you wrote very dissappointing.
And besides lack of features compared to the old app the new one becomes more expensive.
Where are the benefits for paying customers?

Summary:
I bought my license in the summer of 2013 for a year.
Works as promised it has to September 2013.
Since then I am waiting for an update.
For a refund, I was told from support I should address myself to the App Store.
What a madness.
Now, the license will expire in 106 days.
No relief in sight.

I think I've paid my dues.
There are other apps that exactly fulfill this task the new Avast app and it's free.

Greetings
Tevion
