Title: Pre-tasks/Post-tasks
Post by: david_leigh on February 04, 2014, 10:27:24 AM
I'm thinking of how to run scans on our machines and due to the fact that they're mostly older machines, I'd prefer if the scans happened after hours as it would slow the users too much.  So, how to boot the machines so that the scans can run?  I'm used to seeing some sort of "wake on lan" task capability for remote management, with a corresponding shutdown at the end.  I've had this work for backups and I'm wondering how to make it work for virus scans.  Is it something that can be controlled by the AEA console scheduler somewhere? (I've not found it yet).  Otherwise, I suppose I'd need to implement it with another tool just so that the scan can start - but knowing when the scan is over would certainly be helpful for shutting down.
Thanks!

I'm not starting a new topic since this would also answer my question.  How do you set Avast to shutdown the computer when a scan completes?

Duck, this is the Educational products section.
I don't think you have that which means you posted in the wrong forum.
