Post by: noamann on February 24, 2014, 05:35:18 PM
Hello everyone,
I want to ask what you think. Is the following combination is an over kill?
I have Windows 8, 4GB RAM, 32-bit
What I want to do is that: Avast premier with web protection, and file guard with firewall + malwarebytes anti-malware 2.0 all guard's active, + emsisoft online-armor and zemana anti-logger ( ButI'm not sure If I really want that because It was never really defend me against malware's and the only time It was blocked something was a FP.

Thanks everyone!

You have two firewalls listed there, Avast premier and Online Armor so you need to choose which firewall you prefer and ditch the other.

With Online Armor having hips it will detect keyloggers plus avast should also be able to detect you don't really need Zemana imo.

Well you are right, I don't need Zemana Anti-logger. Are you sure that this avast firewall with online armour is too-much?

You cant have two firewalls so you don't have any choice - pick one or the other.

Security is a lot of personal preference and for sure 2 firewalls is a nono as stated earlier (As is 2 AV solutions).
For what it can add: I run Avast Premier with all shields active, MBam v.2 Real Time and Zemana Antilogger with no issues at all. :)
