Yes, of course. It is a relativ old virus and if you use the boardsearch you will get several hits on w32.Parite.b. Avast did make acleaner for it, but you have to ask for it, if you need it.

it is not me who got infected ;D ;D ;D , it is a PCQandA forum member (Ellergreen) ..
So I was wondering how he got infected if Avast protects against this virus ? ??? ::)

Do not ask me! :) Maybe he temporaly disabled the Avast shield and than got infected through a Network? Or the Virus was dropped by other Malware? Didn´t he know?

I asked him how he got infected but did not have an answer yet ;)

Avast4 detects many varians of the Parite virus including "Win-Parite-B"..
Can't figure out how he got infected ???
