Post by: seifelnasrm on February 26, 2014, 12:34:12 PM
I already installed Avast Internet secuirty 2014 in my desktop PC which run with win7 64-bit and outlook 2007.
the emails woudn't received but when I stopped the Avast IS 2014 everything is OK.
I tried to adjust the setting of Firewall of Avast by disable the multicast traffic in the system rules; sometimes the emails is reveiving.
But; when I re-startup my PC the emails wouldn't received.

Is there anybody has idea or support to solve this problem.

Best regards.

I don't use Outlook so not sure of the settings.

Are you using SSL with outlook ? If so look at Avast GUI> Settings >Active Protection > Mailshield > SSL Scanning.

Maybe the ports need changing.

I have the same problem with Avast Premier.  I have it on 2 computers and 1 laptop.  Most of the time now when I turn on the computers it works fine most of the day.  Then it stops sending/receiving.  I disable avast and I can send/receive.  Then turn it back on.  I have a ticket going with support, but haven't heard back for awhile.  My wife really gets frustrated when it happens on her computer.  Just can't find what/where the problem is.  Even had Comcast looking into it and my settings with them are correct.
