Title: Special Scans
Post by: naren17 on March 18, 2014, 06:06:06 AM
Is the Explorer Scan under Special Scans the RightClick Scan?
Why this is not under Scans? This should be under Scans.

Yes it is in the > UI > Settings > Antivirus - Special Scans.

My guess, it isn't in the Scan section because, it can't be initiated from that location - it can only be initiated using the right click context menu when in windows explorer.

The same reason I guess why the other special scan (Screen saver scan) isn't there because it isn't initiated by the Scan function, but by the screen saver.

No, it shouldn't. It is a specific scan designed to be triggered from the Windows Explorer context menu.

As DavidR has pointed out, from the UI you can control the scan's settings, but you cannot start the scan. And that is precisely how it should be.
