Gud Day Avast Team. I got a semi problem with avast online security whenever i start my laptop and then go to mozilla
this avast online security always "Automatically" pop-outs in new tab. How can i disable this one? tnx in advance :)
-
Avast Online Security saves the settings in cookies so if you clear your cache at browser exist it will reappear every time the browser is started.
-
In your browser go to tools then set which page or pages you want to open at start-up.
In Firefox go to "options" from there you can set-up your page(s). :)

I too am having trouble disabling this nag page.
We've done all the recommended fixes & then
some...all seemingly don't work. Please address
this issue. It'd seem as the "settings" page
in the avast user interface would be where to go
first, but it doesn't alter anything as suggested.
Please advise of a fix which works, thanks.

Clear you cookies when closing your browser. This can be done via the Firefox "options" or by using CCleaner.
-
I do both along with using the Better Privacy extension which takes out LSOs too.
This is most perplexing! Please advise Or perhaps someone could tell me what else was
included with avast update as may resort to restore option for Windows 7.
-
I hope someone can help us on how to turn off this automatic loading page of avast internet security. :)

Yup it seems thats the only choice, . but it will decrease your security though.

You could use WOT for a site checker,I have for many years, its not perfect but what is.Get it from here, they also have a forum if you have any problems.
https://www.mywot.com
Also the none tracking feature,do not track can be used as a stand alone without Avast.
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/dnt
Its for Firefox.

I, too, am having this same problem and it is very annoying... continually pops up. Love avast, but this thing has been a real nuisance. Fixes mentioned just aren't working... Help!

I also have this problem. I hope it will be fixed soon, it's very annoying !

Obviously something has changed within Firefox for V28, as this problem is not evident in IE
-
I have this problem in IE too, so I don't think it's FF that causes this problem.

Can you supply a screenshot as you are the first person I've noticed to mention that it happens in IE also.
-
Also what version IE
-
I guess there is still no real time fix for the automatic popping out of the avast internet security. I will just keep closing the tab until there is a solution to it or try the suggestion of cod head. :)

Was having the same problem when opening Firefox.
To fix try this:
Click on Firefox drop-down tab. Then go to Help, which opens a menu > Open "Troubleshooting Information" and look for the "Reset Firefox" button on top right side.
Click on "Reset Firefox" and let it do its thing.
You should be good to go after that!

That will work, as Firefox will start saving all cookies again. Also, resetting Firefox will remove almost all of the customization anyone has done in Firefox.
