Hello,
Avast detects "SL Plugin" file in "Singularity" which is a viewer SecondLife as a virus and it deletes it blocking me launch this program .. I've reported as a false positive and I added exclusions but it keeps me detect it as a virus and henceforth it makes me even more that file in quarantine.
What is incomprehensible is that I only have to reinstall "Singularity" for it to work again but after a number of use Avast me again detects and blocks viruses as my program.
Even stranger I have another computer with the same version of singularity and with the same version of windows 7 64 bit and this one there's no problem there.
I do not know what to do, can you help me?

Suspect files shouldn't be uploaded to any other source other than the virus labs at avast!

I have to manually add the "SLPLUGIN" file exclusions (Settings, Antivirus, Exclusions; DeepScreen). At the moment I do Avast detects more like a virus.

You can send a file to the avast virus lab using http://www.avast.com/contact-us.php?subject=VIRUS-FILE
I would not make an exclusion for a suspect file. I'd send it to the virus lab.
You can upload the file to virustotal which uses multiple scanning engines.

Actually Secondlife Viewers recommend excluding it's files in Avast, I use another Viewer Firestorm, and on there wiki it specific tells users to exclude the folders into your antivirus program, I got a link to the info if anyone would like me to post that, let me know.

I'm more than a little giddy when a program actually "tells" me to make an exclusion.
What kind of malware and/or spyware "could" there be? I trust avast to keep me safe.
Check it out before it may be too late? Better safe than sorry. If each and every test comes
back clean then make an exclusion. Just don't go around making exclusions, doing so could
prove to be dangerous.
Before I click on a link I run several tests before entering. Knowing what's out scares the heck out of me.
What scares me even more is "not knowing" what's out there.

Yeah do agree, been running Secondlife since 2008, and i'll admit I just excluded as support said, I don't know if I did when I originally started using Secondlife or not, but I know I did when I switched to Firestorm viewer sometime in 2011 back then, This viewer and Singularity are 3rd party viewers, Secondlife website also has Offical viewer as well. I guess I just assumed it's totally safe over the years
