Which settings do you have in mind, exactly? It's only about 2 things, isn't it?

Almost everything is stored in avast4.ini...

Or you were talking about ADNM?

exactly, I was thinking about VPS and program update schedule.

I looked into avast4.ini, but all I found was
[common]
VPSUpdate=Automatic
ProgramUpdate=Automatic

and I have no clue about where to find daily/weekly settings.

You can set the update period in the new version (still beta) of avast.
Until there, check details here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1647

By the way, why did you use [useless] append to the thread title?

oh, this was just plain stupid of me... didn't notice the pinned icon on the first 3 threads, so when I clicked on post button...didn't see new thread... posted again... realized I have only 1 neuron... ;D

In fact, as you kindly replied, the real useless thread is the other one with update settings export in the title =)

BTW, I already went through the thread you mentionned. But as I couldn't find the answer to my question, I just thought there was some kind of setting to append to the avast4.ini file on my own. Guess I was wrong.
