Title: Firewall will not turn on after update

Laptop, win 7 32 bit. updated avast pro security, and the firewall will not turn on after the upgrade, was working before

Did an uninstall/clean install with the same result. Windows firewall is not active. Conflicts if it is.
anyone any further ideas please

try avast repair and reboot

controlpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall/change > repair option.......

any change?
