Post by: dooley on October 17, 2003, 07:15:36 AM
Hi to you all, can anyone help me with this please.
My OS is windows ME.  In MSN messenger I click on tools>options>messages. under "File Transfer" it says, "Scan files for viruses using" At the moment the box reads McAfee VS (my old VS) My question is how do I change it to Avast.                    I click on browse>     Alwil  software>Avast 4 and I am presented with all the Avast files, which one do I select to replace   McAfee

Anyway dooley, normally you don't have to set up anything like this, the MSN Messenger downloads should be scanned automatically by the IM provider. Just check the 'Last Scanned File' field of the IM provider to verify that it's picking up the files...
