Title: Project Free TV
Post by: Staticguy on April 14, 2014, 01:07:38 AM
I kept getting this warning from Avast Free Edition 2019.9.0.2016 every time i want to watch movies from this website

Warning from avast is here http://www.avast.com/en-nz/lp-fr-virus-alert?p_ext=&utm_campaign=Virus_alert&utm_source=prg_fav_90_0&utm_medium=prg_systray&utm_content=.%2Ffa%2Fen-nz%2Fvirus-alert-default&p_vir=JS:Includer-AVD%20[Trj]&p_prc=C:\Program%20Files%20(x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe&p_obj=h_xch_usualmedia_com__www__delivery__afr_php?zoneid=24&cb={random}&ct0={clickurl}&p_var=.%2Ffa%2Fen-nz%2Fvirus-alert-default&p_elm=7&p_lex=340&p_lid=en-nz&p_lng=en&p_lqa=0&p_lqe=0&p_lst=0&p_lsu=24&p_pro=0&p_bld=empty&p_vep=9&p_ves=0&p_vbd=2016&p_hid=da196300-c3aa-42b5-ae43-dce5a426568e&p_ram=3991&p_cpu=7.6

Project free TV hosts Gorilla Vid. Which last time I checked was infected. I will see if I can find anything, then I will get Polonus to check it.

Hi,
has a very low Safety rating Here: http://www.urlvoid.com/scan/free-tv-video-online.me/

Sucuri deems site is on (Correction 2) active blacklists. See http://sitecheck2.sucuri.net/results/www.free-tv-video-online.me/internet/

URLQuery says it is connecting to sites with issues. http://urlquery.net/report.php?id=1397431132441

Some conflicting info. Sucuri says hosted in US, AVG says Israel? Hacked? Deemed to be hosting the Neo Exploit kit: http://www.avgthreatlabs.com/website-safety-reports/domain/free-tv-video-online.me/

More info on Neo can be found here: http://www.avgthreatlabs.com/virus-and-malware-information/info/neosploit-exploit-kit/

Quote
NeoSploit Exploit Kit is a malicious code present on fraudulent websites or illegally injected on legitimate but hacked websites without the knowledge of the administrator. The intention behind these code injections is to detect and exploit vulnerabilities on applications installed on your computer to install malicious and unwanted software that compromise the security of all data on the affected PC

I personally have used that website, and I don't recommend it.

@Staticguy,

The reason you are getting the warning from Avast is because it is telling you, as jefferson santiag put in his post, that is infected with JS:Includer-AVD.  As mentioned earilier, there are alternative sites that are better.  You don't mention what browser you are using, but you may want to consider using add-ons for extra protection in addition to using Avast if you frequent these sites.

Thanks for all of your informations.. Well can this be fixed up. I see videos and tv shows from here even my friends does it too. They don't have Avast installed they have different antivirus installed Norton, MSE, and etc and no such warnings comes up. Can't it be fixed by not having to report this to Avast Support Ticket or does it have to be reported? This issue really needs to be fixed up.

Well then I have to report this to Avast Support Ticket?

Another really seriously annoying stuff is this. See attachment. This happens when I want to see any movies!!!!  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(

There is also a check mark on this Download online videos. Faster downloads guaranteed. Integrated VLC Player. 100% Free & Safe.

About this file iLivid it shows this according to VirusTotal and Jotti

VirusTotal - https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/c0c0d385920bdeb3f9f65ff4461c12b7ba129b5f3f13fce893479cce3555e3c3/analysis/1397470820/

So this is file safe to install unless you choose to install those optional downloads?

You have been clearly shown that the site is infected and unsafe and blacklisted by several sources . The problem is the site not avast.

Despite Avast warning you of the danger, and all the input from people that have tried to advise you, you still want to visit this site????

Sorry but the only thing that wants "fixing up" is the website concerned and your thinking.

As to the files you query ......... the same applies, why do you think those warnings are there?

That software is used for nefarious downloads, scams, porn and illegal downloads/hacks/keygens.

In my opinion I was thinking that this may be a false positive from Avast! Again, I appreciate all the information and advice just thought that any issue or problem has a solution to it. When I have the time, I will have a look at my friends antivirus software if they detect these warnings or some other sorts?

So does any one of you have a alternate website that I can watch tv shows and movies similar to Project Free TV (without warnings)?

My humble apologies if I caused any inconvenience to all of you regarding about this problem!

This was suggested already within the thread " Go take a look at http://www.solarmovie.tl/ "

Other antivirus not seeing the problem does not mean a always false positive , look at the results of the checks made.

( MSE is about as much good as a chocolate teapot. )

My sister uses this site, although she knows nothing about viruses and such. Drives me nuts, more so when she has McACrap installed.

I am using IceFilms and Release Source.

You can stream videos via VLC or Divx Web Player.

It says to make a free account... Okay I had enough of this. Can't be bothered

So what's the bottom line for this. I know now that Free Project TV is infected and unsafe and blacklisted by several sources. Will having a different antivirus such as Norton, McAfee, MSE, AVG, or etc affect your computer security if the user visits Free Project TV providing you don't click random stuffs and links that sort of stuffs? How will that work?

I don't know what are you talking about. You don't need to register.I am not registered.

If you are using Chrome install this extension from Chrome Web Store :

  https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ice-quick-stream/dpioikmjnfipgphjldakcaocbbpnfabl

If you are using Firefox you need Greasemonkey add-on and Ice Quick Stream userscript, but Userscripts.org is down at the moment.

Releace Source only has links to File Hosts where you can watch videos with Adobe Flash Player.

From what I understand it is a Java infection exploit. So, I don't recommend visiting those links as it's also apart of the RBN (Russian Business Network). Read more Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Business_Network). As of right now, that site is extremely unsafe and I wouldn't recommend visiting that site too anyone. I've personally already warned my sister about the issue. However, whether she listens or not is not my concern. I would recommend, you tell your friends to stop using it for now.

For you, don't use it. If you're looking for a solution to watch TV shows and movies. Netflix is cheap. and isn't hacked. ($7.99USD) per month. Compared to cable companies, is pretty damn cheap.

YOu can also try the following websites. Again, don't really know if they are trustworthy. I can check in about 3 1/2 hours when I get about an hour off.

Putlocker
Sockshare
vidbull

Just google it.

Putlocker - There are new movies and the quality are poor. Some movies that are old the quality are best. Overall I can't tell about it's trustworthy. Please do check it when you have the time. Thanks.

Sockshare - New movies and old movies good quality. For trustworthy same for above.

Vidbull - Can't seem to find or can't search movies.

Note: For the first two once i play a movie i just skip parts and scenes just to see the quality of the movie.

Is this site now safe to use? Avast! isn't alerting anymore. RBN redirect seems to be cleaned.

Um... very interesting! Avast doesn't alert me anymore about the warnings that Avast got when i only visits the site but still a piece of rubbish software still shows up to Install iLiVid to view movies. With that download it has integreted VLC Player (the check marks says it).
