I have a friend with Win XP and her system started hanging on bootup, so I've been trying to help. I've seen several other posts on this topic. I've run FRST and the text file is attached.
Help, please, and thank you.

Download the attached Fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that
Then try a normal boot
-
Thank you, good sir, will do tonight.

Sorry, no joy. Hung on regular boot again. Safe boot hung at mup.sys; completion log attached.
Thanx, jackhammer

How many hard drives are on the computer ?
-
Two, a pair of 230 GB WDs
-
OK could you physically disconnect the second drive and then try a normal boot

Will do.

Hi Essexboy, I didn't get to talk with my friend for a bit. I tried the last but still no joy, and have now taken the expedient way out by rebuilding her system.
I just wanted to thank you for all of your time and help.
Happy trails, jackhammer
