Title: Problem with ASWRVRT.sys
Post by: tiancai on April 28, 2014, 06:10:21 AM
Hi,

I've recently been stuck in a rebooting loop and when I choose Safe mode (with or without command prompt and netorking), it stops at ASWRVRT.sys and then restarts again.

I've read through your other post, tried downloading OTLPE but it won't download (something wrong with the link - it just finish downloading with 0kb) so I got the ARCDC and made the boot disk. Managed to get to Press R to recover.

But then I didn't get the C:\WINDOWS but just C:\.

Doing a chkdsk returns BSOD error: "STOP: c0000139 {ENTRY POINT NOT FOUND}
The procedure entry point NtSerializeBoot could not be located in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll."

Can you pls help me, thanks!

My system is Win Xp (but I don't remember is professional or Home edition) but nevertheless I make a reboot CD for both and tried, both didn't work)

Lets try from a USB

Followed the instructions and tried but somehow the USB is not recognised (it just doesn't boot from USB).

after which I disable all the other devices (HDD, CD-rom, network ...) and then I get the error msg:

Non-system disk or disk error
replace and strike any key when ready ...

is there something that I've done wrong? (because the bios page I got into looks totally different from the one show in the instruction page)

I managed to find the boot order though.

I am using HP compaq dc 7900 ...

The cd does not work either ?  Could you run OTLPE and see if that will burn to a disc

OK I am afraid your hard drive may have gone.   Are you able to access the safe mode menu ?

If so select Command prompt and type the command there
