Title: Force Policy Updates
Post by: andrewjhead on May 05, 2014, 07:00:07 PM
When establishing global exclusions for files, or changing other "policy" settings, how can I force a client to update?

It's particularly useful when testing and troubleshooting problems to be able to make a change and see how it affects the machine you're in front of.  Is there some trick at either the client or server AEA side of things to trigger a policy updates?

Thanks!

Andrew.

The client sends a keepalive packet every 500 seconds, if configuration settings have changed, they will be pushed out immediately afterwards.
Alternatively, you can restart the services on the client.

If it's taking longer than that, I'd look into network communication or congestion problems.

Hi

I have similar issue. I have made changes that are not reflecting on the client (only testing on 1 at the moment)
I has been a couple of hours since the changes was made. I have restarted the client PC too...no luck.
