Title: Rootkit false positives (sii164.sys and ti410.sys)
Post by: REDACTED on June 16, 2014, 09:10:00 AM
Hi all.
Got an Avast warning about the files sii164.sys and ti410.sys
(Rootkit Wind32:Evo-gen)

Scanned with other products, nothing found.
No reference on the net about these being a vrius.

Is this a false negative?

Thanks,

David

virus and false positive problems should be reported in viruses and worms forum section  https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=4.0
have you tested the file(s) at www.virustotal.com

Pondus, thanks, I meant "false positive" of course.

Yes, have tested with virustotal and got the answer that the files are safe.
Any ideas?

David
