Title: The Bat Multiple smtp

Can avast use multple smtp servers without authentication(plain).

In my case I use the bat!

If I enter "127.0.0.1#the.smtp.server.I.want"  I get no joy?

You can try the new Bat plugin instead of the general mail scanner: http://www.avast.com/forum/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1500;start=0#msg9076

and for the original question: is the smtp server you apparently can't connect in use by the internet provider you have your access to the internet to?

I ask this, because I can't smpt out messages to one of my email accounts, but that is because my provider does not allow relaying. All connections to any smtp port is routed through their own server.

In short: does it work directly, without the 127.0.0.1

Yes, no smtp relay blocking, but I'll use the plugin so there is no need to route through Avast's mail proxy.

Yes of course. Both inbound and outbound traffic is filtered.
