Title: Avast finds trojan in QuickTimeWebHelper.qtx
Post by: Erroneus on July 18, 2005, 10:08:30 PM
Avast finds Win32:Trojano-1797 [Trj] in QuickTimeWebHelper.qtx, which is a part of Quicktime 7.

I believe this is a false finding.

File uploaded to "REMOVED"

Anyone else getting this?

Running latest iAVS and it started some days ago.

I don't think it's a false positive as not only avast detected something in file. It's Jotti http://virusscan.jotti.org/ report. It's infected...
PS It shows that avast is the best FREE AV as AVG detects nothing!  :P  :P  :P  ;D

And please remove link to infected file! Thank you.  ;)

Crap, gonna save the link to http://virusscan.jotti.org/, thanks :)

Guess the trojan wasn't running, since i was able to delete it with no problems and scanning the entire pc with avast and a lot of online scanners has show nothing.

Removing link to infected file.

Thanks again.
