When you set avast pro to do a scheduled scan, is it always set at normal scan?

The scheduling can be done via Enhanced User Interface. You have two way, actually:
1. Switch to the Scheduler folder, click New and select a task to be scheduled (and fill the other data, of course)
or
2. Swtcih to Tasks folder, edit a task (i.e. display it's Properties), switch to Scheduling page there, click Add and fill the data.

What I was looking for was the scheduled scan to search thru archives.

I think it's done by Task properties -> select All packers

 ???
