Hi all,
avast! demands to deactivate SSL protection for my email applications and suggest to activate SSL in avast!'s own settings. This worked perfectly with Mozilla Thunderbird, but Outlook Express won't send out any emails with SSL deactivated. I'm using Outlook Express mainly to synchronize my private and work calenders. Any suggestions?
Thanks for reply in advance

In Avast! 8 and 9 you don't have to deactivate SSL in the email client anymore, just configure it like Avast wasn't there.
Edit: Wait a minute, Outlook Express? There's no Outlook Express for Mac OS X , that's a Windows only application (or Mac OS Classic).

thanks for the reply. unfortunately it's Version 7.0 and that's the reason why it's free. And of course it's Microsoft Outlook, not "Express".
Kind regards
