Title: can't get into websites that need passwords

i just downloaded avast!4.xhome/pro last night.  I did the virus scan and it detected 62 viruses and i deleted those files that were infected.  Now when i go on internet explorer certain sites that i have my personal information on and requires a password, it won't let me even get to those sites.   Does anyone know what to do about this.
