I am running avast on Fedora Core 4.
When I use the CLI the command executes OK but I am stuck in the CLI with no way to exit. I am sitting at a empty prompt. Nothing I enter takes me back to the Linux terminal session. I have tried quit, exit, logout, ctl-C and so on.
A sample command that works is avast -a . but this does not return to the Linux CLI when complete.
Any ideas? What am I missing
thanks

Patched version will be available next week.

Please, can you test 2.0.0rc version?
-
I have used avast on RH9 and FC2 and the CLI version works if launched from a real terminal ( console or xterm ) but when launched by a process without a controlling terminal ( an xmail filter - in my case ) the process never ends.
I was using version 1.0.8_2 and now 2.0 without success.
I'm doing something wrong ?
Thanks.

I'm sorry,
I'll take a look next week

Did you have any news ?
I haven't anymore checked the latest version, did you think that the problem can be already fixed ?
-
I think, I've patched this.
I can send you fixed command-line scanner to test, it you want?
-
Yes, send me the fixed version and I'll test it asap

The new version works like the old, in a real terminal works ok but launched from a script without a controlling terminal it hangs.
