Title: Opera browser question why do I keep getting redirected?
Post by: REDACTED on July 25, 2014, 05:29:01 PM
This probably may not be the correct spot to ask this but I figured since I know there's a lot of smart folks on here who is good with these type of questions maybe someone can help with this topic even though it's not avast related.

Anyway here goes

I have opera browser why is it that I get redirected with this link whenever I go to photobucket.com

http://silstavo.com/null/14410/8567/5292/62/278/4649/b32_KVXGS5DFMQQFG5DBORSXG/2.356435/4/null/null/Redirect.eng

that redirects me to some random sites like blastro or travel site or something of that sort...

Do I have malware in my browser or what? This literally made me want to uninstall opera and re install it yet I still have this?

My other browsers are fire fox and google chrome and this does not happen in those only in opera. I also have IE but I never use it.

I have the following programs/tools on my PC/browsers to keep me safe.

1. I have avast internet security paid version

2. malwarebytes anti-malware premium paid version

3. I have ad block plus

4. I have avast web rep thing on my browsers in enabled

5. I have ADW cleaner ( this though I am not sure if it scans my opera browser cause it only shows the IE Google chrome and Firefox. so I ain't sure if it's scanning my Opera)

Anyways is this malware or what? cause I was reading that sometimes this an auto enabler on the opera that redirects you to some sites automatically or something... I'm not sure....

Anyway can someone please let me know why this is happening and how I can fix this? I mean it's not a big deal but it kind of worries me cause if it is malware I want it gone.

Please let me know and thank you.

btw I have done avast and malwarebytes scans nothing comes up. I also did my ADW cleaner scan and like I said nothing comes up and it doesn't scan opera I don't think, unless it does? I don't know...

Anyway please let me know anyone who has any input on this. I greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.

Ok edit. New problem! blasto.com pop up came up on my firefox as a pop up as well once I went to my photobucket site!

So I guess it's happening to my firefox as well now?!?!! What is this nonsense?

I check my history and the same thing the  silstravo thing from my above post link redirects me and took me to the blastro pop up site. I am looking at my history now.

is it photobucket site it self causing this?????????????????? maybe they are making the pop ups? and nothing is wrong?

I mean every other site I go to I am fine and no pop ups.

Yes I search up porn a lot and what not but the thing is I have protection on my PC..... SO I DON'T KNOW...... what the issue is....

Maybe it's just the photobucket site redirecting me? Who knows.

Anyway someone let me know please. Thank you.

I tested it in google chrome now. I notice the link wants to pop up in chrome but it didn't I can see it saying ''waiting for stilstravos'' or whatever in the bottom left hand when chrome loads stuff.

So yeah I don't know.

Maybe it's just photobucket redirecting me? And maybe there is nothing wrong at all. I don't know. I am just looking for some clarification is all.

You could as a start also use the tool included with avast! and see if that takes care of things: Browser Cleanup
