Title: Does avast home hate upx that much.
Post by: REDACTED on August 05, 2014, 06:44:02 PM
Often out of the blue, avast says that the process I'm trying to run in suspicious file and move it to the quarantine.

The file is most often autohotkey script(any script that I create and compress with upx).
It doesn't say a word about the file and then suddenly for months and suddenly says that it is suspicious file(if I compile the script without compressing it,then it's fine)

The last one is simple gui window that shows the paths to certain program...I use it as loader,to start the programs I want after starting my pc rather than placing everything in the startup directory.

UPX is often used by malware writers
