Title: Boot-scan cannot complete
Post by: REDACTED on August 10, 2014, 04:21:34 PM
I've run boot-scan and it freezes at 35%.  The esc command does work, but it stopped on a yahoo! messenger file and stayed there over night.  I let the scan run for almost 24 hours, but the percent completion remained at 35% for almost 10 hours.  I do have a lot of data on one drive, but surely 24 hours is longer than it should've taken.

The boot-scan was recommended by Avast! because this is the first time I've run a scan with Avast!

specs
7 Home Premium SP 1
2.6 ghz processor, 12 GB RAM
3 partitions: 17.5 GB free out of 60 GB, 465 GB free out of 465 GB, 420 GB free of 1.1 TB

What should I do??

What if you run an ordinary scan (from Windows)... a Thorough scan, for example; will it finish normally?
