Title: Problems following Windows 8.1 update

Hi All,

I upgraded a PC to Win8.1 from 8 today and since then I have been unable to use any browsers. After trying many things, such as renewing the drivers for wifi and LAN, I dropped my AVAST shields and everything worked again.

I have them dropped right now, otherwise I couldn't type this.

The strange thing is that everything was fine before with 8.0 but not now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled AVAST and the problem is the same.

I'm going to post this and then try which of the shields work and which don't. I'll reply when I have the answer.

OK....... so after switching them all off and back on again, everything works.

Ignore this message! Unless the problem returns when I will revive it.
