Title: Unable to scan
Post by: REDACTED on September 22, 2014, 01:44:09 AM
I did a full system scan and Avast found 15 infections on my MacBook. It also said that it was "unable to scan" 172 files, but it doesn't say what files it wasn't able to scan. Before this, the number of files it couldn't scan was "0". So what does this mean?  :(

I also have an interest in this topic due to the need to actually view the files that avast is unable to scan.

Use the "right-mouse-button-click" context menu on the scan result page to view them.

Thank you so much for the reply and your help. I figured it out what I needed. I'm such a MAC noob but I'm trying to help a friend.  :D

Hi,

I also have similar problem. I made a full system scan of my Mac and !Avast was not able to scan 20 files. There is no info about the files that were not scanned (e.g. path, names) and there is nothing "right-clicable" in the scan report. Is there any other way to learn what those file are. (I have Avast version 11.2 for Mac)

Thanks
