Title: Error message: an attempt has been made to enter a protected area

I just noticed an exclamation point on my avast icon. When I open it is says an attempt has been made to enter a protected area and asks should it continue. I say cancel but it requires a password and I don't have one. How do I clear this? One of the shields is down but I can't see which one it is.
