Title: Merge two MyAvast accounts
Post by: REDACTED on November 10, 2014, 04:29:51 AM
I have ended up with two MyAvast accounts which I would like to merge.
The first is connected to my Facebook account and the second to my Google.
I have full access to both, but could not figure out how to merge them so I can control all my devices from one place.

What can I do to resolve this?

Not possible to merge the accounts.

Just unpair your device from the account you do not want to use and pair them with the other one.

J.L.,
as we already said it is not possible to merge accounts.
Please read before posting.

I asked for merging the forum accounts, since it's not as easy resolving that. Yes I've read your response, it doesn't make any sense for this not to be possible.

What part of "it is not possible to merge accounts" is it that you don't understand?

What part of making sense, as in actually explaining why it's not possible and if that will change, do YOU not understand? I hope not all "evangelists" inflate their post count and impose their ego like this.

It sure does make sense if you would read what avast has changed after the webboard had serious problems.
What part of reading the explanation that is already given is it YOU do not understand?

Oh and I'm supposed to bother looking for the link with some obscure reference like that. Let me guess, Avast got a big boo boo with some hackers and now they're inconveniencing everyone else just to get a tiny bit more protection (placebo) from them? Just get to the point already, elaborate or at least make a proper reference.

my.avast.com, forum.avast.com and feedback.avast.com all use the same accounts from id.avast.com

It is possible to merge two accounts - one from previously registered forum (before unification of the account services) and my.avast.com, however it is manual process and I do not think it is worthwhile or an account that has 5 posts and 4 of them are in this thread. Sorry. ;-(

Thanks for the clear explanation. My previous forum account J. L. (notice the space) was indeed made before the merger and definitely had mor activity than ~5 posts.

I'd like to merge it with this account ideally, but if it won't be done, I'll accept that. Will PM you or the relevant authority if it can be done. Thanks.

Will will take a look at your accounts and see what we can do. Do I understand it, that you want to user this account and move everything from the one with the space to this one a delete the old one?

Was there ever a resolution to this? I have avast accounts as well. I would like to merge them into one email address so that I can view all my protected devices in one account. Thank you
