Title: Why Extension Avast Online Security takes so much CPU in Google Chrome?

In my Google Chrome browser the Avast Online Security extension consumes 304.760K of memory. That is 50% of my CPU.
ABP extension "only" consumes 51.340K memory. CPU 1
Why the avast extension is such a memory hog? 
- total browser mem consumption 277.184 K CPU 29

Anyone to comment?

Odd. 50% of a CPU load?

Remove it, then reinstall it. Any improvement polonus?

It is within norms now with 46.236 K, just in the realm of extensions like Ghostery.

So, did it fix itself, or did my solution work?
