A competitor's product had surreptitiously written a direct link to my bank account into their EULA, so they could auto-update without my consent.
This is against US law. I pointed this out to them, and they tried to tap-dance around... that was it for me. I'd had enough of their "semantics". ;)
Their paid AV was inferior to the Avast free version, which has been protecting my family for more than a decade.
Just a quick note of thanks; I'll be registering again for another year.
