Title: Found a slight work-around to the issue of chatango connection issues
Post by: REDACTED on November 22, 2014, 09:59:19 PM
I simply disabled the shields for 10 minutes, went to the site I go to where their chatango exists, connected, re-enabled the shields, and it worked just fine.
However, I have to do this EVERY SINGLE TIME!
It's only a quick fix for anyone who's been having this issue and until it gets resolved.
I will continue to use avast, but if this problem isn't fixed in another update soon, I WILL have no choice but to find another anti-virus program.

Just tested it and Chatango is opening without a problem with all shields enabled.

Chatango websites themselves open like normal. That isn't the issue. It is the embedded flash versions that are on a lot of the sites I use. It shows Chatango attempting to connect, but just shows the loading icon spinning over and over. As soon as I disable shields it works. I've used the method above, but I feel this issue needs to be resolved soon, so hopefully it is being looked into.

Am waiting for a fix on this as well, as have run into the same issue with the chatango flash version after the last Avast update. And yes, it's the darn update that is causing it as tried everything else and only disabling Avast makes it work again.
