Title: Adlogix Adware??
Post by: Barr_y on September 01, 2005, 08:53:07 PM
My AdAware SE found Adlogix on my computer and quarantined it . I have since looked in Google and there is quite a lot about it. Should Avast have found this Adware?

avast! is first and foremost an antivirus program, yes it does detect some adware and spyware (the more serious ones at a guess).

So continue with tools that specialise in the task at hand AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy and spywareblaster.

Thank you David I will always keep my AdaWare program but was wondering what Adlogix is and where it came from.  I do also have spywareblaster but that also didn't stop it getting on my computer.

It must have installed with some program or other. I love my Avast and and wouldn't have any other antivirus program.

As I run my own site to help people with their security, I always keep everything up to date daily. I also notice Avast will update sometimes three times in a day.

:) If any spyware keeps coming back I would advise you to
post a "Full System Scan" setting logfile on the forums at
www.landzdown.com/index.php . This site is staffed by the
experts who used to advise on the now-defunct Lavasoft
     Ad-Aware Support forums .
