Title: unable to change update settings

Since the latest update to free version of Avast I have been unable to change the update settings.
If I change the setting to 'notify', click OK, then check the setting it has reverted to 'automatic'.
Is there a way to make my changes stick?

OS is Win7 64bit

Avast 2015.10.0.2208  virus def 141126-1
