It is with both satisfaction and regret that I inform the members of this forum that after persevering with Avast 2015 on my Windows XP / Athlon XP 3000+ PC for as long as my sanity could be maintained, I have "bitten the bullet" and reverted to AIS 9.0.2010 ::)
List of frustrations "solved" by this move.
No SafeZone due to Chromium / CPU incompatibility (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=159682.msg1150305#msg1150305)
File shield/scanner constantly finding new files to "obsess" over as fast as I could exclude them (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=159809.msg1148809#msg1148809) >:(
Problems with MS Office (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=96353.msg1151539#msg1151539)
Update popups are back (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=158362.msg1150760#msg1150760) (A personal thing I know but I did miss them.)
